Updating the sustainability strategy

Initiative description: Periodically reviewing and updating the sustainability strategy to reflect evolving best practices and technologies in sustainable event management, and responding to changes in the internal and external context and associated risks and opportunities. This includes a periodic review of the materiality assessment and human rights impact assessment and respective objectives and initiatives.

The FIFA World Cup 2022™ Sustainability Policy and Strategy form the foundation for the FIFA World Cup 2022™ Sustainability Management System. They are foundational documents that underpin all our sustainability efforts.

Any updates to the strategy and/ or policy are communicated as part of our sustainability reporting and included in the dedicated change log section (Annexe 5) of the strategy document.
