6. OVERVIEW
After considering the technical aspects that go across the whole site or building, or affect multiple user groups, Chapter 6 focuses on technical recommendations relevant to each of the main user groups within a stadium.
Firstly, the players and match officials are considered in terms of the dressing rooms required and supporting spaces.
Stadiums are becoming increasingly important as a stage for broadcast content as the audience for the game grows beyond those present in the stadium. The requirements of broadcasters and other media groups are therefore examined in Section 6.2.
The spaces required by premium guests are then assessed under the umbrella of hospitality in Section 6.3. This incorporates VIP and, in some cases, VVIP guests.
Whilst a number of key aspects that relate to spectator viewing areas have been explained elsewhere in these guidelines, the needs and spaces specific to the general admission spectators are considered in Section 6.4. This includes spaces relating to ticketing and food and beverage offerings.
Finally, we look at the supporting areas such as offices and other back-of-house spaces. Any stadium relies on its workforce, and therefore ensuring that its needs are catered for should not be overlooked.
