4. OVERVIEW

01 min. de tiempo de lectura

Upon completion of the testing and commissioning process at the end of the construction stage, the stadium ceases to be a project and becomes an ongoing operation. Whilst the stadium would not exist without the successful conclusion of the project, it is during operations that:

• the stadium fulfils its main purpose of hosting football matches and potentially other events;

• revenues are generated;

• the majority of the stadium’s lifecycle costs are incurred;

• performance against sustainability goals and other impacts is realised.

Therefore, it is critical that any stadium project has solid operational plans, structures and procedures.
