Transparency first

FIFA continues to be in a healthy and sustainable financial position and to set the standard among sports organisations for transparent, efficient and thorough reporting of its accounts.

FIFA adheres strictly to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) to prepare its annual financial statements. The consolidated financial statements for 2020 were approved by the FIFA Council on 19 March 2021. As part of the Annual Report 2020, they will be submitted to the 71st FIFA Congress, which will take place on 21 May 2021, for approval. Together with the accompanying Notes and reports to the FIFA Congress, they can be downloaded here.

Since 2016, FIFA has increased its investment in football development to unprecedented levels. It has also enhanced its oversight policy to meet international standards in relation to prudent management and transparency. Details of the funds released as of 31 December 2020 to each member association and confederation under the FIFA Forward Programme and the FIFA COVID-19 Relief Plan are available here.
